Clare Russell is a full-time artist based in Fife.

As a keen walker and birder she spends many hours outdoors, observing and sketching birds in their natural habitats around Scotland.

She draws and paints using mixed media: charcoal, watercolour, gouache, acrylic, crayon.

Sometimes her paintings are completed entirely outside, but often she'll take them back to the studio and use them as inspiration for further works.
